The World Bank's Open Data initiative is intended to provide all users with access to World Bank data. The data catalog is a listing of available World Bank data sources. This listing will continue to be updated as additional data resources are added. These resources include databases, pre-formatted tables and reports. Each of the listings includes a description of the data source and a direct link to that source. Where possible, the databases are linked directly to a selection screen to allow users to select the countries, indicators, and years they would like to search. Those search results can be exported in different formats. Users can also choose to download the entire database directly from the catalog. World Development Indicators (WDI) is the primary World Bank database for development data from officially-recognized international sources. Global Development Finance (GDF) provides external debt and financial flows statistics for countries that report public and publicly-guaranteed debt under the World Bank's Debtor Reporting System (DRS). The World Bank's Global Economic Monitor (GEM) data set provides real- and financial sector indicators in daily, monthly, quarterly and annual frequencies for developing and high-income countries, and regional and global aggregates. For example, industrial production, consumer prices, merchandise trade, exchange rates and equity market data are available. The GEM data set also includes international commodity prices for energy, agricultural, freight and metals and minerals prices. Where relevant and sufficient data is available, series are provided in both real and nominal terms. Similarly, seasonally adjusted series are provided with unadjusted series. GEM also provides latest actual and forecast data for key global commodity prices and headline macroeconomic indicators (by countries and aggregates).
